You're a rogue but have lost your eyesight. You can only sense what's on the directly adjacent tiles – their colour and their occupant. Each tile is one of nine different colours, with no tile having more than one adjacent tile of any one colour, although two adjacent tiles may be the same colour. The biggest square is the colour of the tile you're standing on, the 2-4 squares under that are the adjacent tiles in order (north, east, south, west) although if you're next to a wall you won't be told which side the wall is on, so there are no blanks in the list of tiles. Press keys 1-4 to move to the tile shown at that position. Below the tile you can see what monster or item if any is on the tile. Below that you might see a staircase icon. Any stairs or item on the tile you're standing on are shown above the big square. You can pick up up to 3 items by pressing the G key. Your held items are listed on the right, you don't need to separately equip it. You can drink the first potion in your inventory by pressing the D key to heal to full (the thin red bar at the top is your health). When standing on an empty tile, you can drop an item by pressing the 5-7 keys, with 5 corresponding to the first item in your inventory. When standing on the stairs you can press the spacebar to descend, otherwise pressing space will skip a turn, although this is never a good idea. When you die (red screen) or reach the end (white screen) your final score is displayed and you can press spacebar to try again, the maximum score possible is 27. Monsters only notice you when you stand next to them and I think there's a bug where they won't notice you right away if you spawn next to them. The game is really bad and there's only 4 generic monster types and 3 item types and 2 levels and the dungeon layout isn't even random or different across levels aside from the monster and item distribution.
